New opening: SELVA MILANO flagship store

It is Bovisio Masciago the strategic position we have chosen to open our new flagship store SELVA MILANO: only a few kilometers from the center of Milan and quickly reachable from the Malpensa airport.

Inside the store we are presenting PhilippSelva iconic furnishings, as well as all the items of the new 2020 collection - designed by the Italian architect Aldo Cibic - which stands out for its multifunctional character, compact measures, simple shapes and bright colors, in a total contemporary style.

The interior project that shapes the flagship store, conceived by Cibic himself, is based on the concept of the "petit maison": a small dimensions apartment, organized in elegant but above all functional spaces, in order to meet the practical needs expressed today by young people, especially in the biggest cities.

Salone del Mobile 2019 Furniture Fair:
Selva is launching the author’s design and opening the doors of Selva (A)part

At the 58th International Furniture Fair Selva has launched important news regarding design and style. The major news has been the introduction of three iconic items, designed by international designers. Selva's desire is to intensify collaboration with the largest design studios in the world.

The Pont Table by Aldo Cibic, a concept of structural and poetic design in the use of solid wood. The legs have a soft and oval section that grows and widens as it approaches the intersection; the plan contrasts with the intended effect of being geometric and subtle. Seen in profile, the table resembles a bridge from which it takes its name

The Lucrezia series designed by the architect Francesco Lucchese: an armchair and a small armchair. It is characterized by a line that, although it shows signs of memory, remains strongly current, with a soft and enveloping shape. The two small armchairs share the same base consisting of a soft, airy cushion positioned on a prestigious easel. The backrest becomes the characterizing element: in one case it is detached from the pillow and made with soft padding towards the inside, and an elegant wooden shell towards the outside; in the other we find total padding, which accompanies the round shape of the pillow until it is incorporated. A gesture that recalls the idea of a hug, a cocoon effect that welcomes the person.

The Laku armchair with matching ottoman by Toshiyuki Kita, previewed in 2018 and today covered in leather in a new taupe shade. The structure is in solid ash wood and the backrest is reclining to guarantee maximum comfort in use, as its name suggests, which in Japanese means "comfort".

Then, the company from Verona has opened the Selva (A)part doors to show how it is possible to elegantly and tastefully furnish a 60 sqm space. Living, dining room and bedroom are thus combined in a unique and unmistakable way. Selva’s aim is to eliminate the rigidity imposed by the collections and to create furniture which can be mixed and matched in a personal, unique and unusual mix&match.
