November 14, 2019 Dubai – A special event has been organized in our flagship store in Dubai, along the Sheikh Zayed Road, during the Dubai Design Week to introduce the new creations of three international designers to the Middle East public: the Pont table by Aldo Cibic (IT), the Lucrezia armchairs by Francesco Lucchese (IT), and the Laku armchair with ottoman by Toshiyuki Kita (JP). May customers, famous interior designers, business partners, friends and lovers of our furniture collections took part in the event and enjoyed the party. The Pont table by Aldo Cibic, an iconic piece of furniture created with solid ash wood, has been appreciated for expressing the idea of a structural poetic design; the swivel armchair and the small armchair Lucrezia by Francesco Lucchese, which are characterized by a soft line and enveloping shape, made the guests fall in love with their fashionable and trendy style; while the Laku armchair by Toshiyuki Kita, impressed everybody with the charm of nature and the emotion of solid ash wood design.

The High Point Fall Market, the world’s largest bi-annual fair of the design and furnishing sectors returns, reunites more than 2000 exhibitors from around the world in North Carolina. From October 19th to 23rd Philipp Selva will bring his philosophy to the United States with an exhibition at the 525 N.WRENN BUILDING showroom. The excellence of Made in Italy marries with a precise concept, adapted to win over the American market, offering a casual luxury with the addition of new transitional furnishings.  

From October 9th to 12th at the Salone del Mobile.Milano Moscow, we present the numerous innovations that have characterized this 2019, in addition to the bestsellers that represent the essence of the Philipp Selva brand. The location is the Crocus Expo of Moscow, which in the previous edition, saw the participation of 19,542 professionals of the sector, with a 9.1% increase over 2017. The Philipp Selva stand will also feature the two iconic pieces conceived in collaboration with Aldo Cibic and Francesco Lucchese. The desire of the company is, in fact, to increase synergies with the most important design studios of the world, an operation begun last year with the creation of the Laku armchair and matching ottoman by Toshiyuki Kita. Philipp Selva will be live at the Crocus Expo of Moscow, pavilion 08 stand A01.

London is the crossroads of design, the British market is increasingly important in terms of global projects. Precisely for this reason we have become members of the Society of British & International Design (SBID), an organization founded in 2009 by Dr. Vanessa Brady. SBID is the only British interior design organisation to be inducted into the ECIA (in the Council’s twenty year history) – the highest level of measured knowledge and best practice for interior design throughout Europe. As the standard-bearer for professional British interior design, she developed new markets in the UK where previously, due to a lack of standards, Britain had been excluded. SBID placed Britain on a level playing field within Europe and globally amongst counterpart organisations, creating a British standard of education, competence and practice for the first time.

We have launched the concept of Selv(A)part to show how it is possible to elegantly and tastefully furnish a 60 sqm space. Living, dining room and bedroom are thus combined in a unique and unmistakable way. Our aim is to eliminate the rigidity imposed by the collections and to create furniture which can be mixed and matched in a personal, unique and unusual mix&match.

The Lucrezia series by Francesco Lucchese for Selva consists of an armchair and a small armchair and is characterized by a line that, although it shows signs of memory, remains strongly current, with a soft and enveloping shape.  The two small armchairs share the same base consisting of a soft, airy cushion positioned on a prestigious easel. The backrest becomes the characterizing element: in one case it is detached from the pillow and made with soft padding towards the inside, and an elegant wooden shell towards the outside; in the other we find total padding, which accompanies the round shape of the pillow until it is incorporated. A gesture that recalls the idea of a hug, a cocoon effect that welcomes the person. A third version proposes a seat in which the backrest and cushion extend to the floor, becoming a lounge chair. The pillow recalls the idea of a muffin, wrapped once again by a less covering back, but more rounded and soft, both to the eyes and to the touch. 

New location in Dubai: located in the main road of the city Sheikh Zayed Road, the showroom was opened in March and will be officially inaugurated next autumn. It is not only an exposition place, but also a great 500 sqm storytelling celebrating the furniture culture and the typical creative style of the Made in Italy.  The art of design making is crucial: our brand approaches different elements working together coherently, creating inspirational and harmonious contemporary projects. A total home design mixing and matching elements, materials and styles, all with high value Italian craftsmanship and a specific attention on being eco-friendly. Inside the showroom, there is furniture for the living area, as the Plaza sofa, the bergère armchair VendĂ´me, the Empire bookcase and iconic objects of the brand from Verona. The dining area is made of container furniture, tables and chairs, as the Tosca table and Gatsby chairs (in the photo), designed by Lorenzo Bellini. "Design stories for Future is the balance between Nature and Wisdom". From the union of Philipp Selva’s accessible luxury and minimalist philosophy, Laku is born, an iconic armchair created by Japanese designer Toshiyuki Kita to celebrate 50 years of the company and revived this year covered in leather in a new taupe shade. A style that looks at the future through the charm of nature and the emotion of design. The structure of the Laku armchair is made of solid ash wood available in three different finishes - ash wood white, tobacco ash wood, ash wood dark - and the upholstered upholstery is available in leather or fabric, as well as the matching ottoman. The backrest is reclining and adjustable to ensure maximum comfort in use, as its name suggests, which in Japanese means "comfort".

The new 2017 collection designed by Leonardo Dainelli has been officially presented to the Japanese market, during the important event held in Tokyo – Aoyama, at the J. Front Design showroom. The large, two-storey exhibition space has been furnished with sofas, armchairs, tables, chairs and many other furniture elements, which have created perfect living and dining rooms, characterized by modern style but an also elegant and comfortable touch. The distinctive sign of the discreet luxury signed by PhilippSelva.

PhilippSelva is back to High Point: with the Market Fall 2017, the new collection will land in America. From October 14 to 18, the brand new best-selling models and collections will be exhibited at the CONARTE showroom, just 3 minutes from the town's Design Center. Among the many novelties, there will be the Lady Bug design armchair and the entire Delano night collection, featuring bed, chest of drawers and nightstands. Last but not least, the trade fair will see the exhibition of the Vendome collection, among the most beloved of the PhilippSelva brand.

New appointment with the PhilippSelva collections in Moscow: on the occasion of the trade fair “I Saloni Worldwide”, which will be held from October 11 to 14 at Crocus Expo, the new models of the 2017 collection will be introduced to the Russian market. The exhibition area will be located at Hall 8 Stand B19 and will include living, dining and night rooms.

On the occasion of the international exhibition Salone del Mobile, held in Milan from 4 to 9 April, PhilippSelva introduced its new 2017 Collection. New models have enriched the wide range of the brand, while new materials and finishes have renewed the entire line of products. At this year's Russian furniture tradeshow “I Saloni WorldWide” in Moscow, SELVA has impressed the public involved in the industry  now with an extremely effective presentation on its Philipp Selva product line. “We are very pleased about the thoroughly positive feedback on our tradeshow stand,” explained Philipp Selva, president and CEO of SELVA. The 50 sq. m. tradeshow stand was staged in a stylistically confident manner: the parquet floor and walls were kept in elegant, harmonious tones, forming the perfect backdrop for the exclusively selected products. The fact that Italian craftsmanship is in great demand is shown by the great response for the Russian furniture tradeshow “I Saloni WorldWide”. With record participation of around 350 exhibitors, it was a complete success. For the eighth time now, the tradeshow thus presented itself as a showcase of top Italian products for furnishing and decorating, and over the course of the four days of the tradeshow, it put some 35.000 visitors under its spell.

Selva celebrates a decade of successful presence in the Middle East region. To mark this milestone, SELVA hosted an exclusive function in their flagship store on Sheikh Zayed Road on November 16, 2015.Held in their 1,200 square meters showroom that runs across two levels. The event was attended by VIP guests, customers, hospitality connoisseurs, partners and media members who spent the joyful evening admiring the impressive collections displayed at Selva. A live Jazz band also complimented the evening.
